Schartner House at Carroll Village Retirement Community

An Attitude of Gratitude

Since the opening of Schartner House in Carroll Village, a terrific group of residents have logged more than 40 volunteer hours helping the Mission Support staff in a variety of ways.

Thanks to word-of-mouth and the recruitment skills of resident volunteer Betty B., the group has tripled in size since the first gathering last November.  Current volunteers include Doris B., Edna B., Martha H., Hazel L., Kathryn L., Elizabeth M., Joyce S., Mary S., Regina T., and Rhetta Z.  They take great pride in their work and work quickly to get the job done while chatting about recent vacations, upcoming family weddings, and the upcoming bingo night or morning bible study.  We can always count on Kathryn and Mary to tell a funny story or crack a joke.

The Mission Support staff has an “Attitude of Gratitude” for these wonderful and cheerful helpers.
